The Arsenal SAM5 features a receiver milled from a hot-die hammer forged blank, a process distinct from common bar stock machining. This method, involving a 5-ton hammer forging, eliminates internal voids and cooling deformations, producing a steel with superior grain structure. The forged blank undergoes over 5.5 hours of precision milling before assembly, yielding a receiver of unequalled strength, dimensional consistency, and durability for sustained operational performance.
Barrel & Muzzle System
Precision is maintained through a 16.3-inch cold hammer-forged barrel, manufactured in Arsenal’s Bulgarian facility utilizing Steyr technology. The bore and chamber are hard-chrome plated for optimized corrosion resistance and extended service life. Muzzle accessories integrate via 14x1mm left-hand threads, accommodating the included removable muzzle brake.
Fire Control Group
This rifle is equipped with the Fime Enhanced Fire Control Group, engineered to optimize trigger pull characteristics and mitigate operational inconsistencies, contributing to enhanced shooter interface and control.
Rail System & Ergonomics
The SAM5 integrates the AR-M5F Picatinny rail system, featuring Picatinny rails on three sides of the lower handguard for accessory attachment. The black polymer furniture and intermediate length buttstock, a US-made 10-inch trapdoor design, provide a length of pull measuring 13.4 inches. An AK scope rail is present for optics mounting solutions.
Component Integrity & Compliance
Construction utilizes 100% new-production parts, including Bulgarian hot-die hammer-forged receiver, bolt, and bolt carrier, ensuring foundational component strength. The system is 922(r) compliant, accommodating US or imported magazines, and is designed for a substantially extended service life.
