Operational Design & Enhancements
The Cimarron MP410 Model P revolver is a direct evolution of the iconic 1873 Peacemaker-style sidearm, originally adopted by the U.S. Cavalry. Chambered in 45 Colt, this specific iteration integrates critical functional enhancements to address inherent limitations of the original 19th-century design while preserving its historical aesthetic and handling characteristics.
Cimarron has implemented their proprietary Cowboy Comp action. This internal modification package systematically enhances the operational reliability of the Model P platform. It mitigates common functional weaknesses prevalent in historical single-action revolver designs, ensuring consistent cycling, positive lock-up, and extended service life for the discerning shooter. The design retains the traditional exposed hammer, providing a familiar and tactile control interface.
Construction & Materials
The MP410 Model P is constructed for durability and performance. It features a precision-machined blued steel barrel and cylinder, specified for corrosion resistance and structural integrity under firing conditions. The frame receives a traditional color case hardened finish, which not only provides a distinctive visual signature but also contributes to the surface hardness and wear resistance of the component. Ergonomic control is maintained via a precisely fitted walnut grip, offering a secure and traditional purchase for effective handling.
