MK47 Platform Engineering
The Mk47 platform is CMMG’s mid-size AR configuration, purpose-built to incorporate more robust receivers and internal components, including CMMG’s proprietary PowerBolt Technology. This design enhances operational reliability and structural integrity, specifically accommodating the ballistic and magazine characteristics of the 7.62x39mm cartridge while maintaining compatibility with readily available AK-pattern magazines.
Ergonomics & Control
The Banshee MK47 integrates CMMG ZEROED components to optimize shooter interface and control. This includes a ZEROED pistol grip for positive retention, a ZEROED drop-in trigger module engineered for a clean and consistent break, and a ZEROED 60/90 degree ambidextrous safety selector, allowing the operator to select their preferred throw angle. An ambidextrous Mk47 charging handle mitigates manipulation friction, and an AR15 polymer dust cover is included for component protection.
Barrel & Handguard Configuration
This platform features a 12.50-inch barrel finished with Black Nitride for enhanced corrosion resistance and surface hardness. The medium taper profile and threaded muzzle facilitate the integration of various muzzle devices. An EML 11-inch M-LOK handguard provides full-length M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom, alongside M-LOK sections between the top Picatinny rail segments, offering extensive modularity for accessory attachment without excess weight. The aluminum receiver features an integrated Picatinny rail for direct optics or iron sight mounting.
Finish & Durability
The aluminum receiver is finished with Midnight Bronze Cerakote, providing superior abrasion resistance, chemical protection, and a professional non-reflective aesthetic. The Black Nitride barrel finish further contributes to the system’s resilience against environmental factors and sustained use.
