The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 5.56 NATO rifle provides a capable AR platform designed for consistent field performance and broad application. Featuring a 16-inch cold hammer forged barrel and optimized internal components, this precision rifle delivers practical accuracy for competitive sport, training, and serves as a reliable option among personal defense firearms. A Daniel Defense flash suppressor is factory installed to reduce muzzle flash, supporting stable target acquisition.
Construction & Operational Design
- Cold Hammer Forged Barrel: The 16-inch chrome moly vanadium steel barrel is produced using a cold hammer forging process. This method compacts the steel and improves bore uniformity, which contributes to consistent shot placement and an extended service life for this firearm.
- Mid-Length Gas System: A mid-length gas system is integrated to manage the rifle’s cycling. This design promotes smoother operation, reduces felt recoil, and lessens wear on critical internal components, extending its operational lifespan and maintaining reliability under sustained use.
- MFR XS Handguard: The free-floating Daniel Defense MFR XS handguard offers substantial accessory mounting capability. It includes six M-LOK attachment interfaces and a continuous 1913 Picatinny rail along the top. This comprehensive mounting solution accepts various tactical optics and other firearm accessories, allowing users to configure the rifle for specific operational requirements, including setup for shooting range equipment.
- Durable Finish & Ergonomics: The upper and lower receivers feature a Mil-Spec+ hard coat anodized finish, providing increased resistance to wear and corrosion. The rifle is completed with Daniel Defense’s proprietary buttstock and pistol grip, designed for a secure hold and user comfort during extended sessions.
