Overview
The Diamondback DB15 A2 carbine represents an American-manufactured firearm platform, engineered for consistent operational performance across diverse applications. This model features a distinctive black and purple finish and integrates Magpul MOE components for enhanced modularity and user interface.
Core Engineering & Materials
Barrel & Gas System
The DB15 A2 incorporates a 16-inch 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium barrel. This material selection is critical for sustained accuracy and barrel durability. The barrel is paired with a carbine-length gas system, optimized for reliable cycling and consistent operational pressures.
Bolt Carrier Group (BCG)
Component integrity and reliable cycling are ensured by a Mil-Spec 8620 carrier BCG. Each unit undergoes shot-peening for stress relief and enhanced fatigue resistance, followed by Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) to confirm the absence of material defects.
Receiver Construction
The rifle utilizes a forged 7075 T-6 aluminum A3 flattop upper receiver, precision-machined with T-marks to facilitate consistent mounting and zero retention for tactical optics and other sighting solutions. The lower receiver is constructed from a robust DB-15 Carbon composite, providing a durable foundation for the system.
Integrated Features & Ergonomics
Equipped with a suite of Magpul MOE components, the DB15 A2 optimizes shooter interface and accessory integration. A 7-inch M-Lok rail system is integrated, accompanied by a Magpul Vertical Foregrip, allowing for direct attachment of firearm accessories. Further enhancing user comfort and control are the Magpul MOE grip and a Magpul MOE carbine stock. The sighting system consists of an A2 front sight, complemented by an A2 flash hider for flash signature mitigation. The rifle ships with a Magpul Gen M2 PMAG 30-round magazine, configured for extended operational or training scenarios.
This platform provides a capable and dependable foundation suitable for a range of activities, including competitive shooting, general recreational use as shooting range equipment, and effective deployment within personal defense firearms applications.
