Key Features
Design and Operation
The Heritage Manufacturing Barkeep Boot .22 LR revolver integrates the reliable single-action mechanism characteristic of the Rough Rider series. This design prioritizes direct control and consistent cycling. A hammer firing system is employed, coupled with an exposed hammer for manual cocking and a thumb safety for positive engagement, enhancing operational security.
Construction and Finish
This revolver features a 1.68-inch barrel constructed from steel, treated with a black oxide finish to mitigate corrosion and wear. The frame is precision-cast from zinc alloy, also finished in black oxide, ensuring material integrity and a consistent aesthetic. The 6-shot cylinder, mirroring the barrel and frame, receives the same black oxide treatment. Ergonomics are addressed with a Gray Pearl grip, providing a secure hand-to-frame interface.
Sighting and Ejection
Sighting is managed through a classical notched rear sight, providing a clear sight picture for target acquisition in conjunction with a fixed front blade. For spent cartridge removal, each Barkeep Boot is supplied with a custom Heritage wood-handled ejector rod, optimizing field maintenance and ensuring efficient case extraction.
