Adaptable Stock System
The Ruger American Rimfire rifle integrates a modular stock system, featuring two interchangeable stock modules to optimize comb height for either scope or iron sight use. Standard models ship with long length of pull modules, while compact models include short length of pull modules. Modules can be swapped expediently by disengaging the rear sling swivel stud, providing critical adaptability to individual shooter biomechanics and optic configurations.
Power Bedding® Integration
This rifle incorporates Ruger’s patent-pending Power Bedding integral bedding block system. This design precisely locates the receiver within the stock and free-floats the barrel, critically mitigating external stock pressures on the barrel. This configuration is fundamental to achieving and maintaining consistent accuracy.
Ruger Marksman Adjustable™ Trigger
The Marksman Adjustable™ trigger mechanism provides a crisp, positive release characteristic. Shooters can precisely adjust the pull weight from 3 to 5 pounds, allowing for refined trigger control that enhances shot placement.
Cold Hammer-Forged Barrel
The 18-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged, a process that results in ultra-precise rifling geometry. This manufacturing technique ensures exceptional accuracy, extends barrel longevity, and simplifies cleaning procedures.
Optics Mounting & Sights
The receiver features a machined 3/8-inch rimfire scope base, providing a robust platform for optic attachment. Additionally, the receiver is drilled and tapped to accept Weaver® #12 bases (not included) for expanded mounting versatility. A 60-degree bolt throw provides ample clearance for various scope objective sizes. For immediate utility, the rifle is equipped with a Williams™ fiber optic front sight and an adjustable, V-slot folding-leaf rear sight.
Enhanced Ergonomics & Safety
The integrated 10/22-style extended magazine release facilitates expedient, unobstructed magazine changes. A visible, accessible, and tactile tang safety provides immediate security. The receiver-mounted bolt release allows for bolt removal without requiring a trigger pull, enhancing operational safety during maintenance or clearing procedures.
